Showcase Your Greatness

This social media course is designed to help you showcase your special talents and abilities for prospective colleges and employers.  During the course, you will create your own website and learn how to use its capabilities to get the attention and admiration of people who are important to your educational and career success.   The 6-hour course includes lunch and covers the following topics:

• Principles of marketing yourself and your brand through social media
• Creating and programming a professional and interesting website
• Telling a compelling story using eye-catching graphics, animation, and targeted wording
• Keeping the story fresh and updated with blogs and other techniques

You will get to share and critique each others’ efforts and you will leave with a product that will blow away employers and school administrators with your skills, talents and creativity!

This workshop is recommended for teens and young adults. The class is designed to help participants create materials that they can use as part of a job or school application. However, any person who wants to “shine” through media is welcome to attend.
